"From the moment I called Nancy Smith of First Weber, I felt like we were in good hands. We were moving out of state and had a short amount of time to try and sell our house. Nancy met with us immediately. She walked through our entire house with us from top to bottom. She made some suggestions of improvements that she thought would help us find a buyer for our home. We took her suggestions and went with it. A fresh coat of paint of a neutral color was put in several rooms throughout the house. The garage was also painted. We were going to have our carpets cleaned but realized we had hard wood floors throughout most of our house. We went ahead and removed all of the carpet upstairs and down and exposed the wood floors. We had the living room and dining room floors sanded and had polyurethane applied to finish them off. We had a landscaper come and remove all unwanted brush in the yard and plant grass. We rented a storage unit and stored items to reduce clutter in our house. We rented a dumpster and pitched as much as possible. The list goes on…the point is: We weren’t sure we were going to get everything we wanted done in the three weeks we had before putting our house on the market; but we did. Nancy checked in with us often and kept encouraging us. As it turns out, our house sold in one month of being on the market. We were also very pleased with our return. As Nancy told us in the beginning, you may need to invest some time and money into this process, but it will be well worth it in the end.
