31 DOWNPAYMENT ASSISTANCE GRANTS!:
WHEDA -- Wisconsin Housing & Economic Development Authority -- has 31 $5,000 Down Payment Assistance grants available! This funding is limited and grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis. First-time homebuyers can use this assistance to help cover down payment, closing costs, home buyer education and counseling expenses. Funding is possible through a grant WHEDA received from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. Benefit for Iowa County Humane Society:
First Weber Group-Dodgeville will sponsor a breakfast for the benefit of the Iowa County Humane Society. The pancake and sausage breakfast will be served from 7-11 a.m. at Dodger Bowl Lanes in Dodgeville. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children. Advance tickets are available at our office, 1102 N Bequette St., Dodgeville, or at the Humane Society on Bennett Road in Dodgeville.

WHEDA Home Improvement Advantage Loan:
WHEDA -- Wisconsin Housing and Ecomonic Development Authority -- has a home improvement loan available for eligible WHEDA homeowners to complete up to $10,000 in home repairs. Any WHEDA approved lender can use this loan product regardless of who originated the first WHEDA mortgage. There is a low-cost, fixed interest rate for 10 years to ensure that monthly loan payments are affordable, and closing costs can be paid from the borrower's loan proceeds. There is no pre-payment penalty for this program, but you MUST have have a mortgage for your home from the WHEDA program, credit score of 660 or higher and meet income requirements. CLEANING TIPS:
Windows – Have your curtains/drapes cleaned (dusty, hold odors); clean windows, inside & out, and scrub screens for a clear view of the great outdoors and to let the sun shine in! If blinds are dirty, clean them; if they’re tattered, replace them. Do your curtains match? Do they “close in” the room? Consider removing overbearing draperies.
Kitchens – De-CLUTTER! Clear the counter tops and leave a few pieces out for décor. Clean, especially backsplashes and behind the stove. Remove the stack of clutter from the top of the refrigerator. Clear photos, etc. from refrigerator.
Bathrooms – Clean, clean, clean, & clean some more! Squeaky clean tub/shower, wipe down the baseboards, have a clean floor, clean sink & sparkly chrome fixtures. Fresh towels and soaps.
Bedrooms – Again, de-CLUTTER! Pay attention to how the closets look. Clean cobwebs.
Ceilings – Clear the cobwebs, and regularly clean off the blades of the ceiling fans.
